hey everyone, this is Aimee. i have come back to indy to see jaxton again…i missed him! this little guy is a heartbreaker! πŸ™‚ before leaveing the hospital for the night josh and lisa asked that i send an update about what has been happening today.

first, i want to thank everyone for their continued prayers and support…prayers are still very much needed and wanted! today, at 1:47pm, jaxton was taken off prostaglandins (the heart medication, p.gs for short). p.gs were one of the reasons jaxton was given a central line the first night. this medication essentially allows the heart to function at a higher level which allows everything else to function better. the less strain on the heart, the better everything is. this also effects this oxygen saturation level, which is something that is very important…well, at this point i feel like every number and beep and movement is important! please pray that jaxton will not need to be on the p.gs! it has been almost 12 hours and so far he is doing well. there will be signs if there is a problem, and right now there are none! it can take as long as 48 hours to know for sure if there is any reason why jaxton would need to be placed back on p.gs, but having no reaction/decline this far means that his heart defect is probably not as severe as once thought. PRAISE GOD! please pray there is no heart defect at all! more test will have to be done later to determine that. the other thing that is changing is his level of oxygen. for the first night, and i cant remember how long after, jaxton was at 100%, he has been at 50% oxygen until today when we was then taken down to 35%…”normal” is 21%! when i left tonight they put it back up to 50% so that he could sleep well tonight, but to be so close to the normal range is great, especially for where he was at just 6 days ago! please pray that jaxton will continue to do well at the lower oxygen levels! i can say this without being crazy…jaxton is awesome! he is more than just “the little one” in room 1, he is a fighter and brings so much strength to everyone that walks in there to see him! that is how i know God is working and doing what He has said He would do!

please continue to pray for jaxton! please pray for his heart! please pray for his lungs!

God, we praise You for what you can do. We praise You because we know that you are more than able to do what we ask, that is what makes You awesome!

Psalm 145: 17-21 “The Lord is righteous in all his ways and loving toward all he has made. The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them. The Lord watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy. My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.”

these are a few pics i took today…he took his first binkie tonight…so cute! πŸ™‚

Aimee that is so neat that you posted that Psalms over Jaxton and his family! We should call it the Jaxton Psalm cause there has been so many people that has been led to this chapter. We continue to take God’s Word as truth and pray His Word over Jaxton. Jaxton was on Jesus’ mind when he endured those stripes on his back and so we continue to claim healing over his entire body…especially the heart, lungs, and brain. In Jesus’ Name be whole! Prayers continue for each member of the Husmann family…Wonderful and precious Jacob included!

Praise God! We praise you, Jesus! Let the healing work of our Savior continue to be poured out on Jaxton! Psalm 28:7 “The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart exuts, And with my song I shall thank Him.”

  12. I came upon your blog today from a link by Baby Be Blessed. We too spent last summer in Indy with our daughter, who was born with Hypoplastic Right Heart. Reading your entries and the day by day of what you are all going through brings back so many memories of all the numbers watching and exhaustion. I pray that you will be filled with energy and strength and the peace that passes all understanding and that little Jaxton will be filled with these things as well. I pray that God will choose to heal him completely. God knew when He formed Jaxton in your womb that you were both the only 2 people on earth that could be his mommy and daddy. What a wonderful testament to God’s faith in you! May you be encouraged today and may God lead you and reveal to you His story as it plays out in your lives.

Sweet baby Jaxson we have been following your progress and are praising God right along with you. We have been blessed with a daughter with Cerebral Palsy and have been through the trials and doctors saying she won’t do things, well let me tell you God is bigger and He will listen when we pray and He loves us. Hang in there Husmann family God is not finished yet. Love and prayers.

A child so loved by all even those who don’t know him. In greater hands he cannot be. Our Lord, creator of Jaxton knows all for He is all and through the prayers of all the saints that are reaching the highest heavens to the ears of the one that can heal Jaxton is in the best of care. Praying for this little Angel of God.
