NEEDED: URGENT PRAYERS

Hi there!  This is Marsha,  a friend of Josh and Lisa’s and she has asked me to update her blog with this critical information so that we can all be praying more specifically.

Today, they learned through a DNA test that he has trisomy 18, not 13.  Jaxton is having a difficult time absorbing oxygen.  He threw up, which has been unsettling, obviously.  At this point, any new symptom is unsettling.

They need to make decisions about pain medications and forms of nutrition.  They are having to absorb and understand an awful amount of medical terms, explanations, information.  They are overwhelmed and emotional.

Please pray for their emotions, for wisdom, for all the decisions they face.  Jaxton needs a miracle for his heart and lungs.   Please pray continuously.

Last night, I sent them a scripture that jumped out at me and she asked me to include that here as well:

I’ve been thinking about how the doctors have said he has no chance of  long-term survival.  He has this problem and that problem.  He’ll never do this or that.  His brain and heart are defective.  But this is what the Lord says, “but I, the Lord will answer them;  I, the God of Israel will not forsake them.  I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys.  I will turn the desert into pools of water, and parched ground into springs.  I will put in the desert the cedar and the acacia, the myrtle and the olive.  I will set pines in the wasteland and fir and the cypress together SO THAT people may see and know, may consider and understand, that the hand of the Lord has done this, that the Holy one of Israel created it.”  ~Isaiah 41:17b-20.

Oh Lord, where the doctors claim a wasteland and parts of Jaxton’s body to be barren or deserted, show them how you fill it with “trees” and let the rivers flow…bring forth Your springs so that none of them can deny the work of Your hands through this baby boy.  We wait expectantly for you to amaze us all and we thank you for every step of progress that he has made so far.  AMEN!

God, please give Josh and Lisa clarity and wisdom as they make these huge medical decisions for Jaxton. Guide each of their decisions and reassure them with your comfort. I pray for a complete healing for Jaxton’s body. YOU are the Great Physician and the creator of his little body. It was YOU that knit it together and only YOU know exactly what he needs. He is in your hands. Please make the barren parts of his body alive with vigor and strengthen his major organs. I lift up Lisa and Josh. May they find rest and peace in the shadows of your wings.

Just got through reading up on Trisomy 18, and my thoughts are: Our God can make Jaxton thee one to overcome EVERYTHING and be HIS miracle! Surely a God who can part a sea, and make His people cross on dry land, raise people from the grave, cause a man to live in the belly of a fish for 3 days, can completely heal Jaxton and make his case one for the record books to reveal HIS GLORY!!!! PLEASE GOD, We know You can, WILL YOU???

Continuing in prayer for the Husman Family, specifically Jaxton, during this critical time…and all the ups and downs. May His will be done in His time and may He grant peace that passes understanding as decisions are made for Jaxton. xoxox

We will claim the verse Marsha wrote in agreement. We have been tossing and turning all night in bed and now I know why but we are on our knees before our King.

I have been and continue to pray for Jaxton, Lisa, Josh, Jake, and all involved in little Jaxton’s care. I had a baby in NICU for 3 months, that they said would not survive, and he is 8 years old now! He did not have the difficulties Lil’ Jaxton does so I am in no way comparing them, rather testifying that God CAN do amazing healing! I am also a Registered Nurse so I just want to offer any explanations I may be able to, in helping them understand some of the terminology. I continue to “refresh” this blog throughout the day and send up prayers all throughout the day. Please know I have grown to love you all, in Christ!

You all continue to be in my prayers… I know you know this already, but when I look at the pictures of your Jaxton, and I think… he is so perfect. God created him perfectly and makes no mistakes. I continue to pray for His healing and for the Lord to lead and guide you in all the decisions you have before you with his care. Continue to rest in His care… He will carry you!

  21. I know Trisomy 18 all too well because that is what my daughter had, but I also know that God can perform miracles and heal those that are broken in body. We continue to pray for this amazing family and this beautiful baby boy who had brought so much love and faith in a small package. May God continue to show his mercies..

I think of your family every day since I found your story on babycenter! I pray for your sweet gift from god, I pray that he heals that sweet gift for you all to have many days with him and that the days turn into weeks & the weeks turn into months and I pray the months turn into years and years. I also pray that god keeps you, your family and your support group strong through everything.

There are so many prayers being sent up from Union City and the surrounding area! Facebook is flooded with prayers for Jaxton and the entire Husmann family every day! It is so inspiring to see the faith that this little boy has instilled in so many people that do not know the family! God bless and know that Wesley United Methodist Church in UC is praying!!
