Saturday 4:30am {Pee, Poop & other fun stuff}

Hi!

So many things have been going on here!!!

Jaxton’s ph level is now 7.32   🙂 ideal is 7.4 which is an excellent change from his original 7.02 ph!

They  adjusted his ventalator and he is handeling the change well according to the respatory therapist. He originally was on 100% oxygen and now he is at 85%. I think they are trying to get him to room axygen which is like 25% (don’t quote me on that… there are to many numbers around here to remember them all)

Earlier today the doctor was concerned about how little he was peeing and then he surprised us all and has peed off the charts good! He only needs 2 oz minimum an hour and he has consistantly done 23 oz in 3 hours!

Crystal his nurse JUST told me that he has been absorbing ALL 6 ml of the colostrom which he had trouble doing with the formula. I’m sooooo thrilled!!! I have been producing twice as much as he needs at this point which everyone is so surprised considering the lack of sleep, emotional stress and having gone through the pain of a surgery. He just makes me soooo happy I think my body wants to reward him any way I can.

I have been loving and flirting with him this whole time. Kissing every sweet little part of him and whispering prayers and I love you’s. He has been tugging at my heart strings and making me fall more and more in love with him! He decided to flirt back with me and opened his eyes about 6 times and has been holding my finger.

I am loving towel bathing him, giving massages and lotion rub downs. He loves his feet and legs rubbed. He is responding to our touch which makes us smile!

I have decided that there is nothing better than seeing my hubby kiss, love and hold our sons. I have fallen even more in love with Josh just being so in love with our boys.

Jake was able to visit today and I loved seeing him running around and being his fun self. He was being so funny it was almost too painful to be around because it was making my incision hurt every time I laughed. I think he is starting to hint at wanting to be potty trained. Apparently he has been taking off his diaper A LOT and even went pee in the potty once on his own! (Big thanks to the Niccum family for putting up with the diaper situation! sorry you had the luxury of dealing with that.)

My heart is so full right now for Josh, Jake and Jaxton but for you all, the nursing staff and especially my friends and family. I’d like to work on a post here soon about how much you all have touched my life! It may take me a while to write because I have soooo much to say.

Right now Daddy is holding Big Jax and I’m due for a nap!

I am so thankful to God, Jaxton’s creator, for his tenderness and mercy with our family. He has been blessing us abundantly in so many ways. I’m almost moved to tears at how he has been so gentle with our hearts and answering prayers and questions right away. We have been able to pray over Jaxton and read scripture to him reminding him of how great and wonderful the LORD is! Father God… I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

We could use prayer for the decisions about his nutrition intake, breathing on his own, NO Trisomy in his DNA and extra prayers for his heart!

It is so exciting to see God answer each unique prayer…and there are thousands of them going up! What a sweet sweet aroma in heaven right now! Prayers like you producing milk for Jaxton, ministering to the nursing staff, Jaxton responding to your touch, your marriage being strengthened, Jake feeling loved and thriving to the point of potty training, and of course the good news we keep receiving about how Jaxton is not just surviving, he is thriving! Your family is constantly in our prayers and tonight at church we will be interceding once again! Can’t wait for more updates…Even simple updates like Jaxton opening his eyes! So precious! We will not stop praying because obviously God is listening. GOD IS GRACIOUS!

Lisa, it’s amazing how God makes a mothers body to respond to what our babies need. God is making your body respond to what Jaxtons nutrirional needs are at this time. That is also great news about his output. Continuing to pray for your little miracle. Those things that we seem to take for granted everyday, are steps toward Gods total miracles for Jaxton.

My six year old son is reading your update to me this morning. Last night our 4 1/2 year old prayed that God would “heal Jaxton in one night and one day, but if not it would be by Monday”.

Your light is shining all over the world as you trust in our Creator knowing and truly believing that everything He has created is GOOD!

We are thrilled to read of each little improvement.

Thank you for being willing to share your journey and blessing our family as we see God’s hand so gently and mercifully on your lives right now!

Hey Jaxton, We are so happy you are doing well today. Do you know how many people have read your mommy’s blog? You’ve made more of a difference in people’s lives than some do in a lifetime and you are not even 3 days old yet! That is so awesome. God is showing his love through a tiny little vessel named Jaxton. We’ve read you have some medical issues. We are praying for you everyday in regards to those problems. I don’t know how God plans to work all of this out, but I do know he loves you. God is defintely in charge. He has the power to create the universe and resurrect his son so we think you’ve got some pretty big help assisting you. We are coming to Indy today so we get to meet you. We’re so excited. So until we see you, keep fighting, we’ll keep praying and God can keep working miracles in you and your family’s life. Dennis and Pam

I came across your blog quite a few weeks ago. My husband and I live in Union City. I want you both to know that your family has been in our thoughts these past weeks and even months. The torment, the not knowing, the scared moments, the tears, the smiles, the up and the downs have had me on the edge of my seat. Your family has relied and put your strength in God showing and teaching us all to put our trust and faith into the hands of God because he is so much stronger. It took me back to being in church Sunday mornings and to hear the choir sing…”I cast all my cares upon you. I lay all of my burdens down at your feet, and any time I dont know what I must do I will cast all my cares upon you.” Jaxon is a miracle a disciple of God he is helping us all to walk closer to God. Thank You for sharing your story for opening your lives to us, and mostly for carrying the most precious gift and bringing him into all of our lives to touch all of our hearts God Bless you all.

Im hoping to give you HOPE through kayden. There are many of t18 families on line on face book togther.I would love to talk to you more if you have any questions.Every child is different but know that A Lot of Dr’s are against our kids having anything done for them. You will find many families and lots of stories on face book. I requested you on there i hope you don’t mind.If you go to YouTube you can put in the search there (trisomy18 kayden)there you will find a slide show of my sweet kayden from birth till now.Im not sure what all has been found with your sweet little boy but I pray he can be strong and will have lots and lots of TIME with your family. Medical books have not been updated since the 60’s and is looked at how downs use to be looked at.They say only 10% live past a year however here in MN where i live with in a 3 hour radius we have had 8 kids from age 3 to 22 all full trisomy 18.just goes to show you that more and more of these kids live. kayden now signs mom and dad and will say momma, he truly is the greatest little boy ever. Kayden is a viable and valuable part of our family.I would love to haev a chance to talk with you about your little guy.you can contact me through face book or my email martamcclanahan@hotmail.com GOD BLESS my prayers are with your family and little guy.
