Dear Jaxton… {We get to meet you tomorrow}

Dear Jaxton,

The time we have been waiting for will finally be here tomorrow. Words can not express how excited I am to see you, meet you, hold you, love you. I am so proud of you already. For just your existence has changed the world. What a legacy to start your life with! We have been praying for you since before you were conceived and as we continue to pray for you, I want you to remember all the things I have already told you, but especially this: You are in the hands of an Almighty God who loves you even more than I ever could and I am so in love with you.

I have been pretty calm up to this point. We are just waiting to see what God does. I am most anxious seeing your beautiful face then you will be whisked away from me for about 2 hours. I am terribly saddened by this, but your awesome daddy will be with you every moment. He will be loving on you with his whole heart. I will be eagerly be waiting to have you back with me. Just in case you didn’t know, your daddy has been to almost every single appointment you have had. He loves you so much that he would sacrifice just about anything for you. He has kept me strong this whole time and deserves a medal for best Hubby & Daddy!

I have been holding on to my faith even though it may be smaller than a mustard seed. This sunday’s message was perfect for reminding me about the miracles that God does and how he loves to give. Even though it is the day before we meet you and nothing has changed in your prognosis {even adding VSD/hole in heart last week} we still know God can work. It’s not about if I prayed the right words, how many times I prayed or fasted. I can’t hold these things over my head, but I know it will be a battle.

I will be so excited to rejoice like Hannah did:

“I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him.” – 1 Samuel 1:27

Packed and ready to go!

    Lisa,
We will be praying for/with you and yours as a family tonight, on our knees…..Lord, hear our prayers.
I can’t help but see God’s hand craddling Jaxtons head in the center (#2) ultrasound picture. What a beautiful picture of your sweet baby. May you feel our Lords peace, calmness, spirit and hear His oh so quiet voice as you lay still tonight trying to sleep.
Love and Blessings to you and yours,
Lynnette and the whole Anderson clan.

    Hi Lisa,
I do not know you…I am a friend of Michelle’s from HS and I saw her post about your beautiful son a while back. I have been secretly reading about your family, never feeling the need to comment (especially since I don’t know you, I somewhat feel like a stalker! so sorry!) but after reading today, I just wanted to tell you good luck tomorrow! I wish you many blessings and much love for the amazing day you finally get to hold your son! I will say a prayer for you and your whole family tonight (and tomorrow)! You have truly inspired me! As a new mother, I am completely amazed at your strength, courage, faithfulness and most of all your grace! Thank you for sharing your story!

    Lisa,

We do not know each other and I have not posted before now, just read and prayed with/for you and your precious family as my friend Michelle Tice had encouraged us to visit the blog in the past. I have two sons and know how much you already LOVE this little one you are carrying and get to meet tomorrow! What a joy he already is! 🙂 I will continue praying for you during the delivery and days ahead and I know that the Lord is so good and will be with you both! As I was praying for Jaxton today, I was praying the verse I have prayed diligently over my own children.

JEREMIAH 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

    Blessings and prayers for you,
    Kristi

  30. Lisa, you don’t know me but I did YL with your husband in college. I want to thank you for blessing us who have read your blog with your vulnerability and openness before God and us. I want you to know that you have a prayer blanket spread out for your family around the world. My team and I here in Chile have been praying for your family for months, and my prayer partners in the US as well are praying victoriously over Jaxton. I pray that our glorious and gracious God’s purpose be served in this little one’s life, who has already impacted so many before even taking his first breath. May God’s armor be upon you and be blessed.

    Hi Lisa,

I found your blog via Aimee Loeser. My family has walked through some similar heartache, or so it seems. My sister and her husband (who actually live in an Indy suburb–maybe close to you??) lost a baby boy at 18 weeks in August 2008. His name was Cooper. Then, six months later, they lost a girl, Callie, at around the same time in my sister’s pregnancy. Both were because of separate genetic disorders. To meet my little niece and nephew months before they were to arrive in this world…two of THE hardest days of my life and the lives of my family members. BUT in God’s faithfulness, He has brought healing (though we will NEVER forget those two little babies) AND the blessing of a healthy baby girl, Camille, who is now 10 months old. My heart resonates with stories like yours, and I am PRAYING from the Indy suburbs today for little Jaxton’s birth. Our God is a miracle-working God and I am believing Him for big things for your family.

    In Him,
    Tricia Allen

We met at PFB – (maybe once) I just want you to know that my family is praying for you and your family today and for the next few months as whatever the outcome is, your life will be different. I hold you close to my heart as I pray that today, you and Josh will see the fingerprints of God’s love as you hold your amazing God given son.

We are praying for all of you. We celebrate your life, Jaxton, and are so thankful that God lives in the scope of eternity and does not look at the physical but the spiritual. As You used Joseph to save Egypt and draw them to You, as You used the Israelites to make Yourself known not only to Egypt, but to the whole earth, use Jaxton’s life for your redemptive purposes, Lord. “But indeed for this purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you and that my name may be declared in all the earth.” Ex 9:16 He is your healer, He is your God, He is your King and you reign with Him. He loves and cherishes your every heartbeat. God pour out your portion over the Husmanns this day. “For you will go out with joy, and be led forth with peace; the mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you, and all the trees of the field will claps their hands.” Is 55:12

I heard of your blog via babycenter.com. I’m currently 13 weeks pregnant and after having a preemie with my first son I’m petrified in what may happen this time. Your strength and trust in God is amazing, I wish I could trust in him the way you do. I want you to know that your son has already touched people from Coast to Coast (I’m in Northern California). I’ll pray for you and your baby. I hope you have a wonderful delivery, although not the experience you’d wished for..I’ve been there and when you see his face although not right away….you’re love will grow even more. Goodluck to you and your Miracle Jaxton.

You probably don’t know me, but my sister, Leslie Hill went to school with Josh in UC…..My daughter, Jordan was born with a Giant Omphaolocele Nov. 19th 2007. I found out at 20 weeks into my pregnancy and I can definately relate to you situation at a small level! After reading your family’s story and about the struggles with your new baby boy, my heart aches for all of you but just as my daughter was born almost 3 1/2 years ago she is in perfect health now! After cardiology, nephrology, geneology, and a whole list of other specialist that we came in contact with just days after she was born, we found Jordan was born with only 11 sets of ribs, the small hole in her heart had closed, and her right kidney is half the size of her left kidney and the right kidney was functioning just as if it were regular size! I knew without a shadow of a doubt that God had my baby girl in his hands from the very beginning, even when I doubted every step of the way! Now Jordan walks around worshipping Jesus and asks everyday if we are going to “Oh Happy Day” (Freedom Life Church in Winchester, IN)! I hope this is some encouragement for your family and even when things seem so impossible, you just have to “stop doubting and just believe” John 20:27 Your faith in God will be honored! My husband, Jordan, and myself will pray some special prayers for you and your little guy! God Bless!
